We had a fun-filled day on Saturday with the wedding of Georgia & Matt, with the ceremony at St George's Anglican Church in Queenscliff. Then we travelled between Point Lonsdale Yacht Club, Point Lonsdale Lighthouse and Barwon Heads where the reception was held “At the Heads” restaurant. The magnificent Buick from Geelong Wedding Cards really enhanced the mood.

Very impressed to see Image Eight's photographs in the first edition of the Geelong Advertiser Bride, a beautifully presented magazine featuring some gorgeous weddings down on the Bellarine Peninsula. One of those couples was Mia and Tim who were married at The Heights, and celebrated at The Pier on Geelong's waterfront. Congratulations.
A truely "Melbourne" evening for Zoe and Andrew who chose the Atheneum Club for their ceremony, which allowed a sophisticated game of pool, and a relaxing moment by the club's basement swimming pool. Church Street Enoteca was the perfect venue for their reception, speeches and dancing.

Congratulations to Orlando and Karen whose wedding was selected by Bride magazine for publication in their latest issue. I got to know Karen and Orlando doubly well, as we photographed their actual wedding in a downpour, so rescheduled a few days later to take some more shots- this time in glorious sunshine! I'm really glad we went for a reshoot! Not many people get to frock up twice, and it was great fun to traipse through the city with an ultra relaxed bride and groom!

What an amazing time for a wedding! Stones of the Yarra Valley was in its finest form with a natural backdrop of full Autumn colours.
There was a lotta love in the room for Elysha and Wil in Stones' Chapel in Coldstream, Yarra Valley, including a surprise serenade from a hidden band for Elysha. What a romantic groom! He's off to a good start!
Smiles all round as they progressed to their tea ceremony held in the newly renovated stables and reception in the amazing Barn.
Vonnie and Steve ran a fabulous event for Elysha and Wil and all their family and guests. It was a really special day, and I truly enjoyed being a part of it. Thanks for choosing Image Eight for your photography. Hope you enjoy all your images.

I met Ilona and Chris photographing Ilona's brother's wedding. I was so pleased to be awarded the chance to spend another day of celebrations with this fabulous family.
Ilona and Chris were married at Quat Quatta, Ripponlea, Melbourne.
What a stunningly beautiful couple, with Chris wearing the sharpest suit I've seen in a long time!
A modern Jewish wedding held under the Chuppah in the gardens of Quat Quatta.
The reception followed straight on from the ceremony, so we photographed the Bridal party and families in the beautiful grounds of Quat Quatta.
Illona and Chris' guests were treated to a fantastic party and celebration of their marriage. I am getting to love the Hora and the amazing atmosphere that is created when the Bride and Groom are soaring above their guests on chairs. It so much fun, and a true wedding celebration.
At their request, I stayed the whole evening and had the pleasure of "leaving" with the Bride and Groom to accompany them into the City where we had the chance to photograph them with the cityscape of the Docklands. It was great to have the couple all to myself and watch them unwind and reflect on their day.

Gee Amanda and Damien were fortunate last week! Another gorgeous couple and an equally stunning day especially for photos by the beach in Brighton St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Brighton was the beginning of the celebrations with Father Martin Dixon overseeing the service. Then on to the wedding party photos among the bathing boxes and along the waters edge, Dendy Beach with the Melbourne city skyline as their back drop. The celebrations concluded at The Brighton Savoy.

Congratulations Andrew and Mary Ann. I don't think I've ever photographed a wedding with more smiles and clapping! Such a happy, happy day! We also encountered one of Melbourne's wettest days and heaviest downpours, but that didn't phase the wedding party or the congregation. Ormond Anglican Church buzzed with joy. After a very wet photo shoot near North Rd and at Ardrie Park we proceeded to malvern valley Receptions, at malvern Valley Golf Club for a big celebration. Thanks for choosing Image Eight. It was great to be part of your day.

So enjoyable to be part of Jade and Jade's amazing day! A truly gorgeous couple, and what a great time we had wandering the city, stopping at Hosier Lane for some great shots, The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art ( ACCA ) where we posed with the Etype jag, Crown casino, and then on to 89 at Eureka Tower. The sky looked fantastic at night from the Sky Deck Edge platform. Thanks to the two Jade's for choosing Image Eight for your photography. I thoroughly enjoyed your company, and the whole day.

Congratulations to Bridie and David. It was such a pleasure to photograph your wedding your wedding! What beautiful settings you chose at Tieve Tara gardens in Mt Macedon and Sault Restaurant in Daylesford. Two venues new to me, and I thought they were both amazing. Thanks to Victoria's crazy weather and rains, everything was stunning, including the Bride!

Rebecca & Jamie's Wedding took place at The International in Brighton. We were so lucky to have amazing autumn evening, and with just enough time to get to Brighton beach, the setting was perfect. Congratulations Rebecca and Jamie.

Congratulations Katie and Charlie! A gorgeous ceremony, featuring the beautiful backdrop of the lake, followed by a joyous reception at Lake House, Daylesford.

Emu Bottom, Sunbury was the location chosen by Andreas and Mercedes.
What a beautiful and impressive showcase of the Australian Bush for all their International guests. The day went down a treat! Not to mention the most stunning bridesmaids I've ever photographed.

Had the pleasure of shooting designer Jacqui Sansom's new children's clothing range Mon Petit Chou.

Megan and Patrick’s wedding was caught on camera by Shaun McKenna of Image Eight. ‘He was so good at giving us space but getting all the important shots,’ says Megan.
Thank you guys for putting your lovely words in print.

Thanks Andrew and Sjaan for deciding to get married in Bali! What a fantastic setting. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was great to be able to photograph you with the amazing Seminyak beach in the background, as the sun was setting. All your little details were so impressive. Let me know when its time to renew your vows, so we can go back and do it all again!

Spent a great day working with a world class Barrista, Justin Metcalf, and Mrs Fields herself today! After sampling at least eight coffees from their new beverage range, you realise there's only so much coffee you can drink before you experience heart palpitations! Every time I work with Justin I end up with a caffeine overload.

Pemara enlisted me to shoot some new packaging for In Essence today. All those aromatherapy products made for quite a relaxed shoot.

A wonderful 4 page spread of Sean and Jane’s Fiji wedding. Seeing it in print brought back the fabulous memories of the warm days in Fiji and the amazing colours of the sky and beach surroundings! Thanks for inviting me to your wedding and allowing me the honour to photograph my great friends! It was such a pleasure.

Wow, what amazing furniture! We had a fabulous day in the sun down in Brunswick shooting some really unusual pieces of furniture from Mark’s collection. The warehouse looks full of great pieces. Thanks to the boys for bringing everything out to the laneways in the vans! It was a big effort and it all paid off. The shots are great. I’m really pleased with them, and not a bad shot of the owner too.

Congratulations to Santo, Sam, Ed and the team at Working Dog, for their latest sensation - Cup Fever. Thank you for engaging Image Eight for your press photography for the series.

Just been working on a poster campaign for Monash University’s Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. We had to go and meet up with some seriously smart Graduates from Monash Uni, and photograph them in their workplace. Image Eight put together 8 versions of posters which will be displayed at the Monash Open Day.
What a spectacular wedding venue, on the 89th floor of Melbourne’s Eureka Tower. Melbourne’s guidebook “The Leading Wedding venues of Victoria” has featured images from Leah and Jeremy’s wedding by Image Eight at Eureka 89 to promote their beautiful venue.

Had a great day yesterday photographing at the Simpson Barracks, Australian Defence Force. Box Hill Institute signed a multi-million dollar Defence Tender contract for the delivery of Australia-wide Communication, Information Systems, Technology, Education and Training (CISTET) to the Defence Force School of Signals (DFSS). Big moment for both parties, and it was really interesting to be involved.

Pemara Labels Plus have launched their new look branding featuring photography by Image Eight.

Suzanne & Scott tied the knot in the magical setting of Queen’s Hall at the State Library of Victoria. The wedding ceremony was then followed by a reception in the equally stunning location of the Great Hall at the National Gallery. This wedding is featured in the latest edition of Melbourne Bride with photography provided by Image Eight.

Shaun McKenna wins the prestigious People’s Choice Awards in the “Beds, Sheds and Kitchens” Photography competition held by Moonambel History and Arts Group. The panoramic image entitled “Spring - Dawn at Farnie’s” aimed to capture the beauty of everyday buildings such as the old corrugated iron sheds amongst the lush farmland. I felt very honoured to have my image as the People’s Choice winner!
The brief said “two showgirls, one Latin singer, a Smart car and our host, Bridget McIntyre!” We weren’t quite sure what to expect, but thankfully it was a great shoot and the brief was correct, and not at all as crazy as it sounded! Met at Melbourne Town Hall and it was a great privledge to help promote the Melbourne Ball on the steps of the Melbourne Town Hall. Good luck to the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Fund.
Congratulations to all the coaches who have so generously given their time throughout the winter footy season. The kids have loved their Saturday mornings running through all the AFL skills.
What a beautiful wedding at Our Lady of the Basilica, and Rippon Lea! Please enjoy Alex’s romantic sentiments in thinking back on his wedding day. “Seeing Olivia walk down the aisle was a moment I will never forget. She looked so beautiful, was glowing from the inside out with happiness – I couldn’t wait to exchange our vows and say ‘I do’. It was a great feeling to walk out of the church together as husband and wife (even if I did have to do it on crutches!!) becauseI knew that whatever happens in life, we’ll always make it through together!”

I enjoyed today so much! I photographed the celebrations of a beautiful couple commemorating 60 years of wedded bliss! They were surrounded by family and friends and still had a twinkle in their eyes for each other. I can only hope that I will be celebrating in the same style with my beautiful wife at our 60th anniversary!

A great day in the studio shooting an amazing array of futons and bedding! So tempting to just jump in and have a nap. The beds looked so comfy!

Historian Dr Janette Bomford’s 350-page history entitled 'Epworth: A Tradition of Care 1920-2010' was launched this evening by Victoria’s Governor de Kretser at Government House, Melbourne. A highlight for this photographer was meeting the Governor and Mrs de Kretser in their amazing home, and also meeting Allanah Guthrie Jones- a beautiful harpist who enhanced the evening with sensational music.

Image Eight happily sponsored their SpringTime Fair as a Bronze Sponsor. From all reports, the Fair was a great success, and I am looking forward to meeting and photographing the family who successfully purchased a photography package through the School’s Silent Auction.
Happy 90th Birthday, Epworth!
On Saturday 27 February at the prestigious Plaza Ballroom in the Regent Theatre. Victoria’s largest provider of private not-for-profit healthcare services, Epworth celebrates 90 years of providing hospital services in Richmond. Opening its doors in a converted mansion in 1920 with just 25 beds and a staff of five, the original benefactor Sir Alfred Danks could only have dreamed that Epworth HealthCare’s yearly admissions would exceed 100,000 patients nine decades later. Congratulations, Epworth. Image Eight is really enjoying being involved with all your celebrations.

Travelled to the cute little town of Moonambel where my sister in law lives to photograph their annual fireworks display. My images of their beautiful handmade paper lanterns and enormous bonfire were used for Moonambel Events’ posters and flyers distributed throughout Central Victoria. Amazing community spirit on the night, and you could really feel the sense of occasion. I’m so pleased with the way the posters worked out. They look great.
Out-to-lunch – the company whose mission it is to provide healthy lunches for healthy minds, launches new website using images by Image Eight.

Ms. Vicki Vidor OAM, daughter of the late industrialist and philanthropist Victor Smorgon AC, joined members of the Smorgon family to unveil the plaque acknowledging the major support received from the Victor Smorgon Charitable Fund to establish the Victor Smorgon Epworth Education & Research Institute. Image Eight is there to capture the day.

Epworth Healthcare Family and Friends Sports and Leisure Day
Just got back from a hot day in the sun photographing Epworth Hospital’s Family Day. The highlight was the ABI Cup Soccer Match between Epworth Healthcare staff and The Victorian Police. The money raised on the day went to Epworth’s Rehabilitation for Acquired Brain Injury Unit. It was awesome to be in the middle of the Bob Jane Stadium when the Police helicopter landed. The kids loved it (almost as much as having their faces painted!)
The wedding of Gary Ramsay & Glenys Carey, held at Red Scooter, is featured in the Wedding & Celebration Section of the Herald Sun.
Image Eight was delighted to be there to capture the day as it unfolded.
